In San Francisco, NERT – Neighborhood Emergency Response Team Training Program – has FREE courses given monthly that will walk you through preparing yourself, your family, your neighbors and your neighborhood. 6 classes, each 3 hours, and then you can choose to join your neighborhood team.

Many neighborhoods within San Francisco have active groups who meet regularly to discuss and plan for the next big earthquake.

These teams are headed by a neighborhood coordinator – coordinators meet monthly, and organize city and neighborhood drills.
